How to create crystal grids

In this tutorial, you can learn how to create crystal grids using sacred geometry patterns based on the flower of life.

What is a crystal grid?

A crystal grid is an arrangement of crystals and stones tied together energetically by a pattern of sacred geometry to manifest a desired result.

From this definition, 3 elements must be identified:

Crystals/stones/rocks

These are two type of crystals you will select to create the crystal grid.  One is the master crystal.  This crystal represents your intention and desired result.  Sometimes, you can pick another crystal to complement that first one or amplify its energy.  The master crystal will be the center of the grid.

The second type of crystals is the supporting ones.  These crystals’ energy and align with your intention contribute to the purpose of the grid.  You can choose them intuitively or by asking a pendulum.

For example: a crystal grid to bring love and unity in your family circle.

Master crystal:  rose quartz for unconditional love and to open the heart chakra.

Supporting crystals:

  • Mangano calcite to heal the heart and encourage compassion (if the family relationship has been stressed for any reason), or

  • Rhodonite for emotional balance and to heal wounds, or

  • Peridot for a happy heart!

You can also add quartz points to amplify and direct the energy.  Since the desired result is unity, the points will face the master crystal.

From this example, you can see how the crystals we select make a powerful combination of energy when aligned with our desired result.

Sacred geometry pattern

This is the blueprint of creation and the language of the universe.  By arranging crystals in a sacred geometry pattern, the intention is clear and amplified.

In this tutorial, we will concentrate on these sacred geometry patterns based on the flower of life:

  • Seed of Life

  • Fruit of Life

  • Flower of Life

  • Metatron’s Cube

Do not forget to download these templates.  They are attached to this lesson.

The intention – Know your desire and believe it is given!

Does it feel good and are you in a state of anticipation?  If you are, then you are aligned with your intention.

If you are unsure, a good exercise is to write an affirmation or statement expressing your desire as already manifested. Following the previous example, an affirmation would be:

“I am part of a happy and compassionate family where we love each other unconditionally.”

Say it out loud and feel it, do not think it!

When thinking of a crystal grid, we must be aware that these sacred geometry patterns are tridimensional (3D), meaning they have depth (or solid) as opposed to a 2-dimensional layout of plane geometry shapes.  These shapes are polygons, circles, ellipses, and crescent.

When it comes to crystal grids, every point, node or connecting line is not lying flat on a paper or a template.  It is traveling through space to the next point.  Is an active energy path.   These energy lines can be amplified and sent in a specific direction using points.

Basically, crystal grids are living creations.

Before we go any further, take a few minutes to look at this book. This book is not only educational, it is so beautiful!  There is something about its beauty and the visual appeal that communicates the intention and purpose of these pages were put together.  It makes for an easy read and learning of the basics of grid geometry and crystal combinations.  This book made me step out of the box.  Up until that moment, I was a sticker for form and uniformity.  I was sort of "matchy-matchy" when picking the crystals but wow, the combinations Mr. Permutt creates blow your mind.  The Book of Crystal Grids is a work of beauty, it stimulates creativity and brings inspiration.

The tools

In addition to the grid template and the crystals, there are a couple of “tools” we can use to put together a grid.  These are:

  1. A pendulum

This is a must-have in your crystal toolbox.  Pendulums can help in selecting the best-supporting crystals, whether we are using the correct geometry, and check whether the grid is activated. Pendulums come in many shapes, and they are made of metal or crystals.  It comes down to personal preference.  Before starting to use a pendulum to make decisions, make sure you understand how this tool communicates and answers questions.

When using a pendulum, whether is yours or borrowed, the first question to ask is to show what the YES and NO movements are.  For me, a YES is a clockwise rotation movement, and a NO is a sharp side-to-side.  When I say OK, to acknowledge the response, it stops.

A word of caution with pendulums is that your energy field can influence the movement.  Be mindful of this and ask a couple of test questions for which you know a factual answer, like your name, place of birth or where you live.

 2. Clear quartz point

This is as important as the pendulum because a point can be used to activate the grid or add it to the geometry to amplify the energy.

Double terminated crystal (optional)

This shape channels energy in two directions.  If a double terminated point is not available, the same effect can be achieved by placing two single points facing opposite directions.

 3. Optional: a 360-degree protractor for when you do not have a sacred geometry template or do not want to use a template.  You can mark the position of the crystals and place them directly in other surfaces for a more pleasant esthetic effect.

Now that we are getting into the “how-to” part, don’t forget to download the sacred geometry patterns

Sacred Geometry Patterns

In this section, we will go over the most common sacred geometry patterns coming from the flower of life.

Seed of Life

The Seed of Life is the building block of the flower of life.  It only requires 7 crystals.

Hint:  The supporting crystals are placed at the tip of the “petal”.

What do we use this pattern for?

Everything starts with planting a seed.  This is a good pattern for starting, initiating, and building.  For things that are to grow with time.

When is time to “reap” the results of a project.

Fruit of Life

This pattern consists of thirteen (13) spheres (circles in paper) that do not intersect.  Like a ripe fruit, each has reached maturity and completion.

When do we use the fruit of life?

When we want to manifest things in its complete form as opposed to creating the conditions.  For example:

  • A promotion

  • New or another home

  • When is time to “reap” the results of a project

Flower of Life

This pattern is made of 19 intersecting circles.  Is all about creation and unity.

When is best to use the flower of life?

Remember the example in the introduction of this page?  The flower of life can be used whenever we desire to manifest unity, consensus, growth, common ground, and connection.

Metatron’s Cube

Metatron’s cube contain all the geometric solids, therefore is thought to be a symbol of all that exists.  It comes from the fruit of life by connecting each sphere to the other by energy lines.  The “plane” or 2-D representation or template is shown in the figure below:

It is important to connect energy lines in the Metatron’s cube since this is the shape of energy flow and connection between the ‘’earthly” planes and the divine.  There are 78 connecting lines in the Metatron’s cube.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

When do we use the Metatron’s cube?

To manifest healing that has to do with ancestral bloodline and conditions manifested by past lives trauma or trapped emotions in the energy body

Placement of crystals

The first crystal to be placed is the master crystal at the center of the grid.  If you have a written affirmation, you can place the piece at the center and then place the master crystal on it.

It is important that when you place the master crystal you concentrate on your desired result.

Based on the chosen pattern, the next step is to place the supporting crystals:

  • Seed of life:  Place the next 6 crystals clockwise.

  • Fruit of life:  Place 6 crystals on the first loop or ring, then complete the second ring.

  • Flower of life:  In this pattern we are building from the seed of life.  Start with the first ring with 6 crystals and go on two more rings.  At the end, you must have 19 crystals in the grid, which corresponds to blue dots in the pattern picture above.

  • Metatron’s cube:  Place a crystal in the center of each circle and then in the center of the next 6 circles until the second ring is complete.  Then place double pointers in the hexagon lines to connect the cube shape.

Last but important step before activation:  check the placement is correct.

Optional:  ask with the pendulum if it needs something else.  This can be pointers in the energy lines to connect paths or amplify the energy.

Activating the grid

Now that the crystals are correctly placed in the grid, is time to bring it all together energetically and activate.

For this part, you will need a quartz point and pendulum.  The quartz point is used to trace the energy path from the master (center crystal) to the supporting crystals.

The Seed of life and Fruit of life are easy patterns to activate.  Start at the center and “loop” the next crystal back to the master crystal. See the figures below:

Deactivate the grid

Once you feel the energy of the grid has transformed or already brought your manifestation, you can deactivate the grid and clear the crystals.

To deactivate the grid, first give thanks and show appreciation for the work done.  Next, proceed to remove the crystals starting from the outer ring and work your way to the center. The master crystal is the last piece to remove.

Clear the crystals by any method you are most familiar with but does not harm the crystal (for instance, do not use water with selenite).
